Choose the material for your 3D print
Printaeon prints in filament in Montpellier, France, on Bambu Lab printers. Printaeon does not print in resin. As standard: PLA, PETG and TPU, in Bambu Lab's colours. On request: the other plastics the home page gathers under « On request », including PLA+, ASA, ABS, Nylon and polycarbonate.
PLA.
Everyday and detailed: rigid, with crisp detail and the widest choice of colours. Our default for most prints — a figurine, a gift, a prototype, a desk item.
PLA+.
A bit tougher (on request): PLA blended for impact resistance, a touch less brittle. A holder, a mount, a toy or a prototype.
PETG.
Tough and water-resistant: stronger and more flexible than PLA, it handles water and moderate heat. A mechanical part, a planter, something kitchen-adjacent.
TPU.
Flexible: rubber-like and bendable, it absorbs shocks and grips well. A phone case, a bumper, a gasket or a grip.
ASA.
It stands up to UV and weather (on request) and keeps its colour and shape outdoors, as in a hot car. An outdoor fixture, a car part, a garden piece.
ABS.
Heat-resistant (on request): tough, it can be smoothed and sanded. An enclosure, a functional part, a part near heat.
Nylon.
Engineering strength (on request): very tough and wear-resistant, for parts that work hard. A gear, a hinge, a tool.
Polycarbonate.
Strong and heat-resistant (on request): an impact- and heat-resistant engineering plastic. A technical part or a bracket.

Price and quote.
A file gets an instant price, line by line, once it's measured. Photos of the part with its dimensions: we model it and send a quote to approve before we start.
Common questions.
Which material for a part that stays outdoors?
ASA, which stands up to UV and weather (on request).
Which material for a flexible part?
TPU, flexible: rubber-like and bendable, it absorbs shocks and grips well.
PETG or ABS?
PETG is tough and water-resistant: stronger and more flexible than PLA, it handles water and moderate heat. ABS takes heat, and can be smoothed and sanded (on request).
Which material for a part that handles water?
PETG, tough and water-resistant: it handles water.
Which material for a figurine?
